Currently there are two main versions of Xabber: Xabber for Android an Xabber for Web. Both are published under open source licenses and are available on GitHub.
We welcome any developers, designers and testers to join our efforts in creating state of the art software for federated instant messaging that works well and is based on open standard.
Xabber for Android
Launched in 2011, Xabber for Android is now the most popular XMPP client for Android. Source code was released under GNU General Public License v.3 early in 2013, and is available on our GitHub repository.
Xabber for Web
Xabber for Web was created by Redsolution in 2017. It was always meant to be an open source, licensed under GNU Affero General Public License v.3.
